The Remote Bookkeeper we are looking for is a stickler for excellence and accuracy, has exceptional accounting skills, and is tech-savvy and result-oriented by nature. To be a good fit for our team requires a belief in our company values, a positive attitude, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to keep things running smoothly.  


You Will Be: 

  • Performing bookkeeping tasks like categorizing expenses, paying bills, bank reconciliations and making journal entries using QuickBooks Desktop and Online 

  • Untangling tricky situations like when a client did something the wrong way and it needs to be fixed 

  • Interacting directly with clients 

  • Willing and able to learn new software 

  • Professional but not stuffy 

  • An integral part of a team 


You Have: 

  • At least two years of experience working in accounting using QuickBooks Online and evidence of meeting and exceeding expectations 

  • Experience working with clients in a professional setting 

  • The ability to not get ruffled by tight deadlines or potentially stressful situations 

  • Strong communication skills 

  • A willingness to learn and follow processes 

  • Experience succeeding in a remote position

Some specific tasks you will be responsible for: 

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for clients in QuickBooks 

  • Pay bills on behalf of clients using 

  • Onboard new clients including setting up accounts for them  

  • Making journal entries 

  • Helping clean up client books 

  • Helping us improve our internal processes in collaboration with the rest of the team 

  • Whatever else is needed to add value to our clients
